Calling all hipsters. There’s a new kid in town and Kenmare is the name. Conveniently located on Kenmare street on the lower east side, Nolita’s newest reasonably priced hot spot Kenmare is the place to be. Dark, devilish and decadent, it is determined to be that place where everybody wants to be and be seen. Open for dinner and cocktails, sit at a cool banquet with friends and consider yourself part of the scene. If you can’t yet get a rez, grab a drink at the bar and order the famous meatball slider while you carefully figure out how to slowly weazle yourself downstairs to the ultra hip and ultra exclusive lounge.
but…I did comment on The Lion, remember. BTW – there’s a new restaurant across from Whole Foods on the Bowery…Pizza – but there’s outdoor seating, the place seems packed. Unbelievable location (NW Corner) …and another new one I saw over the weekend…(I think it’s 84 or 94 Stanton). Again – waiting in line. Hard to walk down on the sidewalks down here on both Stanton & Rivington. AND…if you ever want to check out chic, upscale and uber expensive…take a look at Allen and Delancey. No sign outside…of course!
