What is a network to do when they already have an oversaturated schedule of reality programming? Add another show of course, just for fun. Then you bring in dancing & drama queen Melissa Rycroft, the chick that Bachelor Jason Mesnick chose to marry, then soon after dumped. And finally, on top of that, you add the addition of Bachelor alum, Chris Harrison as co-host and ABC’s “Bachelor Pad” is born. What ABC has done is actually quite brilliant. They have taken the entire Bachelor and Bachelorette rejects, you know the ones that have either been dumped early on or last minute, or ones that were told to get lost due to some embarrassing scene they made, and put them all in a mansion together and see what kind of havoc they can wreak. Better buckle up, the crazy train is about to leave the station August 9th.
