Superstar Madonna is currently directing her first feature-length movie in London. The film, titled “W.E.” follows the story of the romance between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, an American socialite that led the crowned king to abdicate his throne to marry his divorcee lover. They lived the rest of their lives as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and became world celebrities but were exiled from Britain and could not get back into the good graces of the Royal family. To some, this was the love story of the century but to others it was a scandal that threatened the monarchy. In reality, the story is about a Prince who wanted to be like everyone else. One of Britain’s most respected acting families, James Fox and Laurence Fox star along with Abbie Cornish, Ryan Phillippe’s ex-girlfriend. This will be the second directing effort for the woman who wears many hats, and who also has a new clothing line for Macy’s coming out August 3rd with her designing daughter Lourdes. Rumors are floating around that mom is also putting Lourdes Leon in the movie. Pictured here is Madonna looking flawless the other night in London.
