This July 4th weekend from July 2-4, go have a delicious dessert, ‘Pelican Bar’ at the recently opened popbar at 5 Carmine Street. It’s a creamsicle (yum) made with cream gelato, an orange coating “beak” and a touch of chocolate, and sales will benefit Tri-State Bird and its Brown Pelican Bird adoption program. This is dedicated to rehabilitating injured, orphaned and oiled birds of Louisiana.
