Rapper Doug E. Fresh has brought the soul and the flavor to Harlem in opening Doug E’s Chicken & Waffles on 132nd Street & 7th Ave. The New York born and raised music trailblazer, who gained notoriety for being the original human beat-box, inventing a method to imitate a drum machine using breath control through the teeth, lips and gums, and who had a string of hits with then partner Slick Rick, has finally opened the much talked restaurant.
