NY’s elite came out for a glamorous first week opening of new Madison Ave hot spot, Bar Italia Madison. The highly anticipated ambiance heavy and friendly 65th Street restaurant with a downtown feel, attracted Vera Wang, Nina Garcia, Sissy Spacek, Dennis Basso and Jon Tisch, who all got cozy in the gorgeous white banquettes and sampled the tasty menu of Italian fare, similar to its sibling on 2nd Ave and 77th Street. The sleek new restaurant from Hassan El Garrahy and Chef Denis Franceschini, both of Cipriani fame, have added a few unique health alternative items to the menu like whole-wheat pasta and gluten-free fare that are sure to please the palate for those looking to indulge guilt free.
