Actor, writer and director Ed Burns will have his sixth directed film ‘Newlyweds’ world premiere April 30th at next month’s Tribeca Film Festival. Closing the festival, ‘Newlyweds,’ which Burns also stars in, and reportedly cost $9000 to make, is a relationship comedy about a newly married couple who get caught up in the chaotic lives of their spouses various relations. The film was shot in the lower Manhattan area of Tribeca on a shoestring budget with actors doing their own hair and make-up, wearing their own clothes, and with Burns using his own camera. Wow, Burns is a total pro. Tribeca is home to Burns and supermodel wife and Yoga enthusiast Christy Turlington and their two kids.
