Late Night Host Jimmy Fallon along with Ice Cream Kings Ben & Jerry, who flew in especially from Vermont for the big announcement, called all the media over to Jimmy’s cozy, cool and ‘green’ as in environmentally friendly studio last night to share the news that Jimmy Fallon now has his own ice cream flavor ‘Late Night Snack.’ An extremely excited Fallon said, “This new flavor is outrageous, can’t wait for people to try it. I’m telling you its Michelin Star, fresh, never been done before!” The concept of “Late Night Snack” came about when Jimmy was throwing around ideas of what people like to eat while watching late night TV and that’s how vanilla bean ice cream with a salty caramel swirl and crunchy fudge covered potato chip clusters was born. It really is the perfect mix of salty and sweet for a late night snack and just what the late night TV gods ordered. They had a tasting before the announcement and it was one of the best Gossip Gal ever had, really. I do love potato chips and fudge so for me it was a no- brainer and I loved it. Fallon, a big fan of Ben & Jerry’s vanilla ice cream which he told us he enjoys with Fig Newton’s on top, “I know it sounds weird, but it’s so good” also likes ‘Chubby Hubby’ and ‘Cherry Garcia.’ Another very important part of the Ben & Jerry’s/Jimmy Fallon ‘Late Night Snack’ is implementing Fair Trade food practices which support the farming communities. Jimmy who is also really passionate about the Fair Trade movement was a proponent in making sure along with Ben & Jerry’s that ‘Late Night Snack’ is made with Fair Trade vanilla in the vanilla ice cream and Fair Trade cocoa in the potato chip cluster fudge coating.
