Aubrey O’Day wants her career back. She did it the first time on camera with the world watching during MTV’s ‘Making the Band’ with Sean Diddy Combs at the helm and now she’s doing it her way on Oxygen with new show ‘All About Aubrey.’Outspoken, beautiful, full of moxie and a self-professed “nerd”, the ex- lead singer of Diddy’s all- girl group Danity Kane, was shown the door by your highness and she thought her career was over. Why did she get fired from the multi-platinum hottest all- girl bands of all time? How do I know, but what I do know is that Diddy told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that doing Playboy during that time maybe wasn’t the best branding message to send the young fans, but he has no beef with her and hopes to work with her again in the future. Gossip Gal spoke to Aubrey who is smart, confident and charming, briefly on the phone and she said, “I have no regrets with Diddy. I just needed for my voice to be heard and for the rest of the story you will just have to tune into my new show.” Now 26, O’Day, told me she’s doing the new show to “show people the real me, change opinions.” No stranger to show business, besides all the dancing, singing, songwriting and TV, Aubrey’s done much Broadway and will now take a run at a solo career “urban pop sound” with hot music manager Johnny Wright by her side. ‘All About Aubrey’ which premieres Monday, March 7 at 10 ET on Oxygen, will showcase her good but crazy friends, tie-dyed dogs and her search for Mr. Right all the while attempting to get back on top without cracking under pressure.
