American Idol’s Katharine McPhee who gained fame in 2006 as the runner-up who lost out to crooner Taylor Hicks, took a break from filming new NBC musical pilot ‘Smash’ with Debra Messing and dined on Caesar salad and crab cakes at Empire Steak House on NY’s Upper West Side. Pictured here with owner Jeff Sinanaj who also has two Ben & Jack’s Steak Houses in NYC, 26 year old McPhee co-stars opposite Messing in ‘Smash’ which follows the production of a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe. Can you say ‘Glee?’
