The 25th Israeli Film Festival is coming to town May 5 – 19 with an opening night gala honoring award winning actor Liev Schreiber with the IFF Achievement in Film Award. Legendary film director and choreographer Stanley Donen, who directed one of the best musicals of all time ‘Singing’ in the Rain’ starring Gene Kelly will also be honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, and producer/director Micha Shagrir responsible for some of Israel’s most renowned films and documentaries, will receive the IFF Cinematic Achievement Award. The festival, a non-profit organization created in 1982 looks to showcase the finest new Israeli films with American audiences and showcase the country’s rich culture, diverse stories and modern Israeli life.
