Actress Sabrina Lloyd who made a splash years ago as the feisty associate producer “Natalie Hurley” in Aaron Sorkin’s critically acclaimed television series Sports Night, returns to the big screen in first -time feature film director Adam Reid’s enchanting bitter-sweet comedy circling 3 relationships that center on loneliness. A little about the smart and passionate writer-producer-director Reid who spends his days directing commercials. “I grew up in San Diego and I lived in LA for a few years and I was acting and I was a terrible actor. And I was going on these cattle call auditions full of these dorky guys like me but it wouldn’t have made this career possible without having that experience. Once I got in front of the camera it taught me and gave me an appreciation for actors and that’s invaluable.” Reid who shot the picture in fifteen days in Connecticut and NYC on a shoe string for $50,000 got lucky with the rest of the cast which includes voice-over king Harry Chase in his first on camera gig, James Urbaniak, Kamel Boutros, Nate Smith and real stand out Lynn Cohen, who famously plays Magda, Miranda’s hilarious nanny on ‘Sex And The City’ and who literally and figuratively lets her (gorgeous gray) hair down in this romantic lead role. What’s next for the director? “I’m working on my next script now and I’m shooting like crazy for all of my other projects but it’s like nothing in the universe would excite me more than washing down ‘Hello Lonesome’ with something else fantastic.” ‘Hello Lonesome’ opens in NYC at Cinema Village Friday, May 27 as well as in some theaters in select cities. It goes Nation-Wide on Cable VOD June 1. More on Adam Reid at www.hellolonesome.com Take a peak at ‘Hello Lonesome.’
