Touchdown. ESPN The Magazine threw a hell of a pre-draft party at NYC’s very chic and luxurious nightclub/lounge ESPACE recently. While I dined on mini burgers and crispy fries, peanut butter Snickers Bars and sipped sweet Jim Beam, the top draft picks from this year partied like it was 1999 and Prince was spinning. However, Prince was not but it was the next best thing- DJ Questlove who spends most of his time drumming for Jimmy Fallon’s house band The Roots rocked the house big time. Pictured here, Brooklyn native and St John’s basketball legend Chris Mullin, who in 1985 was chosen as the seventh pick by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 1985 NBA draft and went on to have a stellar career, came out to support the 2011 up and comers as well as NFL draft pick Julio Jones, Hall of Famer Jerry Rice with his hot girlfriend Latisha, TV’s Hannah Storm and NY Knick Landry Fields.
