HBO has picked up new comedy series ‘Girls’ produced by comic royalty Judd Apatow and created by and starring Lena Dunham (pictured) who wrote, directed and starred in the critically acclaimed ‘Tiny Furniture.’ Sounds like ‘Sex and the City’ for the younger generation. HBO said, “The show is a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20’s.” The cast which begins shooting this spring includes Jemima Kirke, Allison Williams, Adam Driver and Zosia Mamet. You may not know them now but it’s a good bet you will know them later.
