The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are back with season 2 and by the looks of episode one it looks like the drama will continue right where it left off. Adrian Maloof and Lisa Vanderpump the two richest who make even the wealthy look poor, are back along with return cast mates Camille Grammer, bickering sisters Kyle and Kim Richards, and Taylor Armstrong who sadly is now a widow after her ex-husband Russell committed suicide recently. In regards to whether Bravo was going to keep the original air date due to the tragedy, Frances Berwick, president of Bravo Media, said in a statement. “Bravo will proceed with the Monday, September 5 premiere date of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “Given that these episodes were filmed months ago, the producers of the show taped a brief interview this week with several of the cast members to introduce the premiere.”
There’s also talk that some of the taped episodes between Taylor & Russell and their troubled marriage will be somewhat re-edited with respect to them.
Though not official ‘Housewives’, two new ladies have been added to the mix: Brandi Glanville, ex-wife of actor Eddie Cibrian, who went off to marry country star LeAnn Rimes after filming a Lifetime movie together, and Dana Wilkey known in the ritzy zip code for her over-the-top celebrity events.
Episode one opens up with Adrian and her doctor hubby Paul giving a fancy dinner party for all the ladies, but instead of discord among the cast that we relish for, the beyond rich couple spends the entire time vicious fighting to the awkwardness of the ladies.
This season has single Camille focused on her new life and determined to stay away from drama while sisters Kyle and Kim try to sort out their issues but Kim seems focused on her new boyfriend. Lisa continues to be the voice of reason but feathers get ruffled and Adrian introduces new friend Brandi and is forced to break up some fights.
And yes, Lisa’s dog Jiggy better watch his hind, Adrian and Paul have added a pooch to their household and as Adrian states emphatically, “Game on.” Not to be missed, season 2 Monday, September 5 at 9p ET only by Bravo.
