Barry Levinson, the Oscar nominated writer and director of the 1982 coming-of-age picture ‘Diner,’ reached out to music sensation Sheryl Crow to write the music for an upcoming adaptation for the Broadway stage. Crow, who was already a fan of the college-age buddy flick will write the music and lyrics for the play scheduled to hit the stage next year.
The original was a launching pad for stars Kevin Bacon, Paul Reiser, Daniel Stern, Mickey Rourke, Timothy Daly and Ellen Barkin.
