As one could imagine, many people interviewed for the job of President of the New York Jets.
However, coming out victorious was Neil Glat, who received a J.D. from Harvard Law School after graduating with a degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Also a NY native from Westchester, he’s married and has twin eight-year old daughters.
Most recently he spent 15 years at the NFL league office, serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. His responsibilities included strategic initiatives, league and club business development and stadium development.
Very impressive. We need a win Mr. Glat.
Said New York Jets Chairman and CEO Woody Johnson. “I am extremely pleased to hire Neil Glat as President of the New York Jets.” There were a number of highly qualified candidates, and I appreciate all of the time and energy that each of them invested during this search process. However, Neil distinguished himself with his extensive NFL experience, business acumen, and leadership skills. We have accomplished a great deal during my 12 years as owner of the New York Jets, and I am confident that Neil will continue the growth of our business and elevation of our brand.”
“I am very grateful to Woody Johnson for this tremendous opportunity with the Jets,” said Glat who will begin his duties in early May. “The Jets have established a unique and innovative brand and are leaders in many areas. I look forward to building on this momentum and working with everyone in the organization.”
Great. Congrats. Now we have you, Tebow and of course first quarterback Sanchez. Take us to number one please.
