Now I know why all the young starlets in Hollywood plus their mothers are fawning over child-star turned soon-to-be leading man Zac Efron.
A boy no longer, 24 year old Zac Efron the “man” has arrived. He’s got the tender touch just like a young Tom Cruse and treats women right and looks damn good doing it.
Efron plays ‘Logan’ in the Nicholas Sparks best selling romantic and dramatic novel ‘The Lucky One’, who returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive—a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know. The story unravels after that and it’s hard to take your eyes off the young hunk.
Co-star 27 year old Taylor Schilling, who starred in the 2009 NBC series ‘Mercy,’ is an exciting actress and certainly one to watch. Gwyneth’s mom, accomplished actress Blythe Danner adds her usual wit and charm and some tender needed humor.
It lacks the spark or intensity of ‘The Notebook,’ but it surely kept me in my seat wanting more.
Added bonus, dog lovers will dig it.
Opens Friday, April 20.
