Mariano Rivera was out and about in Manhattan last Monday night for the first time after his long-delayed ACL surgery, which took place days earlier.
He took his wife and sons out for dinner at Siro’s, the newly opened restaurant he co-owns with Entourage actors Kevin Connelly and Kevin Dillon.
As he limped in on crutches, he was greeted with a standing ovation, and he cheered on the New York Yankees for their 10 –in-a-row win with the rest of those in the packed dining room. Mariano is excited to get back in the game, but mentioned that he was thankful for the time off to spend with his family.
“This is the first Father’s Day I’ve spent with my family in the past 20 years,” he said.
