Legends of comedy – Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Chevy Chase, and Steve Martin – will team up alongside sports greats Sammy Sosa, Rollie Fingers, Pedro Martinez and Tony Hawk on Saturday, August 4 during Starkey Hearing Foundation’s 2012 So The World May Hear Annual Awards Gala, which raises funds to give the gift of hearing to those in need around the world.
It’s all happening at the St. Paul River Centre in Minnesota – which will also be attended by other illustrious celebrities and well-known personalities, including President Bill Clinton, Forest Whitaker, Marlee Matlin, Kevin Dillon, among many others.
Featured performances include Glenn Frey, Billy Ray Cyrus, K’NAAN, Jackie Evancho, Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers and Michael Johns.
This year’s honorees include actress Maria Bello, social justice missionary Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe, John Johnson, Glenn and Mindy Stearns and other regional philanthropists.
