Stirring and soulful, Joan Osborne has once again brought her addicting sound to NY’s sophisticated and cool City Winery, where she refuses to disappoint.
Consistent, her bluesy, sensual and these days mellow but oh so captivating sound coupled with her fan favorite hip shake, keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire show.
During this year’s residency, her acoustic duos included Me’Shell Ndege’Ocello, Tracy Bonham, and her last show next Wednesday, September 5, Amy Helm.
Born in Kentucky and now living in hip Brooklyn with her 7 year old daughter Nadine and probably the man in her life whom she refuses to discuss in public, “I’m private” said the singer at her gig at Stephen Talkhouse out east in Amagansett.
Joan looking fabulous and better than ever at 49 years young, did a few of her classics from back in the day including ‘Spiderweb’, ‘St Teresa’ and an acoustic version of her hit ‘One of Us’, as well as tunes from her most recent release, a collection of her favorite classics ‘Bring it on Home’.
The always packed house even stands in line after to meet and greet Joan and have her sign a CD or now a $45. bottle of bold and sultry red wine made especially by City Winery for Ms. Osborne.
The crowd loves her and year and year she keeps ’em coming back for more.
Amazing post about my favorite female artist of all time!!! Love, from a super fan;)))))
