Last Friday, Starr African Rum hosted the official VIP Global Citizen Festival kick-off event at the Jane Hotel & Ballroom, where GCF headliners the Foo Fighters, The Black Keys and Band of Horses, as well as Michelle Trachtenberg and Colin Hanks, celebrated the excitement surrounding The Great Lawn’s first big concert in over 40 years.
The rock stars and everyone else at the Jane including me sipped on Starr Rum & Cokes (yum) and the festival’s official cocktail, the Starr Fair Trade Punch, a delicious mix of blueberries, rum, ginger and lime from Apotheke bartender Nick O’Connor.
Starr African Rum also served as the official VIP backstage spirit of The Global Citizen Festival concert the day after.
