Skinnygirl creator, chef and TV personality Bethenny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy are separating. The mega-star and business woman told The Associated Press Sunday that the split brings her “great sadness.”
Sadly, to the keen eye this looked like a long time coming.
During her reality TV show ‘Bethenny Ever After’ which chronicled her entire life, you could see the head butting and differences in personality difficulties, as well as the problems they faced when he left his job to work for her company. Then there were the issues with her wanting to take her career to Los Angeles while he preferred living in NYC and being close to his parents.
“This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family,” Frankel said. “We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”
Earlier in the day she tweeted, “I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family.”
The ambitious 42 year old married regular guy Hoppy in 2010 while pregnant with daughter Bryn.
Most recently, she launched a Fox talk show, “Bethenny,” produced by Ellen DeGeneres and we’re waiting to see whether it will continue.
We wish her and her family well.
