Seems Barbra Streisand may be getting antsy in her Malibu, CA compound.
The superstar is reportedly in talks with worldwide financing and production company Aldamisa International to possibly direct another film.
Going back to the early 80’s, Streisand’s directing resume reads “Yentl” in which she directed, wrote, produced and starred in, followed by the 90’s “The Prince Of Tides” and “The Mirror Has Two Faces”.
The wife of actor James Brolin returned to acting in the recent Seth Rogen comedy ‘The Guilt Trip‘, her first gig since ‘Mirror’.
Showbiz site Deadline.com said Friday that it has struck a directing deal with Streisand, though no title was announced and she is reportedly mulling over several projects.
“We are thrilled to provide underwriting for a filmmaker of her vision, stature and accomplishment,” stated Nadine de Barros, Aldamisa President of International Sales & Acquisitions. de Barros will also serve as a producer on the eventual film with Aldamisa Co-Chairman Sergei Bespalov.
The picture will be financed by Mark Manuel’s Kilburn Media.
Deep pockets.
