On Saturday, New York Times Bestselling author and attorney Mark W. Smith and his partners Tim Valliere and Noelle Kowalczyk hosted their 6th annual Spring Fling, toasting Historic Royal Palaces, at 230 Fifth.
Attending the party were CNBC’s anchors Courtney Reagan and Mandy Drury, The Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto, South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis, City of London Alderman Matthew Richardson as well as Sharon Bush, Janna Bullock, Nicole Noonan, Cindy Guyer, Elaine Sargent and Jean Shafiroff.
Academy Award Winner Dame Judi Dench, known for her role as M in the James Bond films, and Jessica Fellowes, author of The World of Downton Abbey, served as the evening’s patrons in honor of Historic Royal Palaces.
The eclectic group of Wall Streeters, lawyers, Broadway professionals, fashionistas, journalists and philanthropists enjoyed what is believed to be the largest ever cake of the Tower of London, made by Carlo’s Bakery of the hit television show Cake Boss.
A highlight of the evening was inspirational remarks by Yeoman Serjeant Bob Loughlin, MBE, who discussed his role as one of only 37 Beefeaters in the world guarding her majesty’s Tower of London. The Tower of London is home to the Royal Family’s Crown Jewels.
