Actor Matthew Perry has wanted to play messy Oscar Madison opposite squeaky clean Felix Unger ever since seeing the Neil Simon classic when he was 10-years old.
From the 1968 Paramount Pictures movie, he will play the role played by Walter Matthau opposite Jack Lemmon.
Perry who wants to co-write and executive produce a modern version, will be attempting it at CBS, a network home he has not yet been. The Friends alum spent many successful years at NBC with ‘Friends’ and then a short run with ‘Go On’ which led him to ABC with ‘a short ‘Mr Sunshine’ run.
