A wine tasting party with live DJ aboard a luxury yacht cruising NY’s gorgeous Hudson River? Uh, yes, I’m in!
And boy was I, among the varied company of excited eager beavers ready to sample and learn about over 85 featured sparkling and still Rosé wines from 60 wineries worldwide, while gazing onto the stunning New York City skyline.
This was La Nuit En Rosé, billed as “New York’s First Rosé Wine Festival” aboard the luxurious, state-of-the-art Hornblower Hybrid docked at Pier 40. We sampled wines from France, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Morocco and the U.S among others, with many of these having yet to be sampled on American soil.
Run by wine entrepreneur Pierrick Bouquet and his partner Jacques Azoulay, who has a famous face due to his former relationship with ‘Real Housewives of New York City’s Countess LuAnn de Lesseps (who from the look of things has clearly moved on), it was 90 minutes of pure bliss on a beautiful Saturday night.
The Rosé flowed, as did the dance floor.
Paired with the assortment of scrumptious cheese & charcuterie, oysters, French pastries, ice cream and even an art exhibit, this is guaranteed to be one of the hottest and hippest of its kind.
