New York’s elite came out to a Moet & Chandon Imperial champagne reception at Fifth Ave’s French Consulate to see and hear guest of honor; Madame Ségolène Royal.
Royal, the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy; as well as the mother of French President François Hollande‘s four children, was in town for United Nations causes as well as to discuss the Hermione Project 2015.
Dressed in a rich red skirt suit, the attractive and bright French politician gave a speech and then breezily made her way amongst the opulent crowd.

At the reception we learned about Lafayette’s Hermione Voyage of 2015 and the organization’s upcoming Black Tie benefit, which will be held on October 14 at The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The evening will honor Dr. Henry Kissinger, Ms. Christine Lagarde, and Mr. Charlie Rose.

The Hermione sets sail to the United States in summer 2015, making landfall at Yorktown and then proceeds up the coast to Mount Vernon, Alexandria/Washington DC., Annapolis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Greenport, Newport, Castine, Maine, and then on to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia before heading home to France.
