Strip House Downtown is one sexy steakhouse.
Dimly lit over red and black decor, the long bar and table lounge preceding the dining room is very inviting.
The much needed baked bread and warm pretzel rolls hit the table as soon as we were seated, which was great to accompany our first round at the bar.
It’s dark, dramatic and known as a hot spot, and fittingly so. Sex and the City’s Mr. Big aka actor Chris Noth walked in with motorcycle helmet in hand, and about an hour later I could have sworn his co-star Aidan aka John Corbett walked through as well.
Owned by BRguest Hospitality, Strip House is among an influential crowd of restaurants including Atlantic Grill. Bill’s Burgers, Blue Water Grill, Dos Caminos, Ruby Foo’s and many more.
The Caesar salad, shrimp cocktail and house favorite bacon appetizer hit the spot, while I readied myself for a charred on the outside medium on the inside strip. Yum.
Order side dishes of creamed corn, roasted cauliflower and french fries, and then dessert yourself with the signature Chocolate Layer Cake and you’ll really be entertained.
