Proud daughter and two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank presented her mother Judy Swank with the esteemed Actors Fund ‘Looking Ahead Parenting Award’ last Thursday.
The award honors leaders in the former young performer community who continue to inspire the world by living the program’s core values of growth, education, leadership and community service.
Swank, who has called her mother the inspiration for her acting career and life, lived out of a car with her mother at fifteen years old until Swank’s mother saved enough money to rent an apartment.
The Actors Fund’s Looking Ahead program, helps professional young performers and their families address the unique challenges of working in the entertainment industry.
