_JohnAmosMeninBlueIt was such good times at the Doe Fund’s fourth annual sweet: New York tasting event that TV legend John Amos, star of 70’s hit sitcom Good Times was there.

The actor, who is also a social worker was there in support of the evening which had guests and celebrities mingling amongst tasting stations from some of the cities best food and drink.

The event kicked off on the terrace with the arrival of celebrity supporters who walked the “blue carpet” and posed for photos with uniformed “men in blue,” including: Selenis Leyva, Catherine Curtin, Abigail Savage (Orange is The New Black), Harry Lennix & Hisham Tawfiq (The Blacklist), Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Rashad Jennings & Prince Amukamara (The New York Giants), musicians Ana Isabelle & Simon Kirke and Ethan Hawke’s wife Ryan.

The incredible DJ Chelsea Leyland kept the party going while we happily stuffed our faces on the gorgeous 2nd floor indoor/outdoor space of hip Bowery Hotel.

Some of NYC’s top culinary talent were there including Executive Chef Harold Dieterle of Perilla, John Villa of TAO, and Francios Payard of Pattisserie who personally served me one of the best macarons I’ve ever had.

Also there serving delicious bites: Lavo, BLT Prime, and Dinosaur BBQ.
