The documentary Glory Daze: The Life and Times of Michael Alig, will have its world premiere during the 9th Annual Manhattan Film Festival on Saturday, June 20th at The Players Theatre in NYC at 9pm.

Michael Alig was the king of The Club Kids, who reigned over NYC’s nightlife scene through the early 90’s before going to prison for murdering fellow Club Kid Andre ‘Angel’ Melendez, which immediately ended the NYC super-club era.

Alig was released from prison in May 2014 after spending 17 years behind bars.

Macaulay Culkin played the infamous club kid murderer in 2003’s Party Monster.

Directed by Ramon Fernandez, the doc features several pre and post incarceration interviews with Alig as well as interviews with the infamous Club Kids, lawyers, industry insiders like Patricia Field, Kenny Kenny and Johnny Dynell, and nightlife veterans Michael Musto, R. Couri Hay and Steve Lewis.
