The New York Coffee Festival is set to invigorate the city at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue on the weekend of September 25-27.
Allegra Events Ltd., creator of the highly popular London and Amsterdam Coffee Festivals, is launching the festival in New York as part of Coffee Week NY to celebrate the booming specialty coffee scene.
In addition to over 70 innovative exhibitors (Starbucks Reserve, La Marzocco, La Cimbali, Pacific Foods, La Colombe, Steampunk, Joe Cofee, Toby’s Estate, Irving Farm, and more), the festival will host the Coffee Masters NYC barista competition.
The Festival will also include live music courtesy of the Coffee Music Project, plus The Coffee Art Project gallery, gourmet street food, and The Espresso Martini Bar for caffeine lovers looking for that special kick.
Additionally, The Lab sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to participate in in-depth educational workshops and seminars given by some of the industry’s most influential leaders from the US and abroad, including presenters from Stumptown, Counter Culture Coffee, Sanremo and illy.
Workshops and seminars at this year’s festival include: Roasting for Sweetness; Sustainability & Importing; Russian Coffee Market; Better Brewing At Home; Introduction to Matcha; Espresso Theory & Milk Chemistry, and more.
If the promise of hundreds of free samples from the highest quality specialty coffee and food brands is not enough of an incentive, The New York Coffee Festival is also donating 50% of ticket proceeds to charity: water via the Allegra Group’s Project Waterfall initiative. Through these donations, Project Waterfall will be able to continue bringing clean water to coffee-producing countries such as Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda.
The inaugural New York Coffee Festival is due to attract up to 10,000 visitors alongside the coffee sector’s most powerful innovators from around the globe.
Tickets for the festival are now on sale at: www.newyorkcoffeefestival.com/ tickets.
For coffee connoisseurs and foodies alike, this event is bound to give New Yorkers and global attendees a truly exciting break from the daily grind.
