The 10th annual gala for the non-profit Savvy Ladies was a night of fierce and fabulous women honoring Alexandra Lebenthal, Stephanie Newby and Laura Lifshitz at the NASDAQ marketsite.
Founded by accomplished Stacey Francis, Savvy Ladies is a non-profit organization that provides personal finance education and resources for women of all walks of life.
Stacy said that her inspiration for founding Savvy Ladies was to empower women to be independent, as “her grandmother had remained in an abusive marriage for many years due to total financial dependence on her husband. This is a future I want to help women avoid.”
Finance gurus Alexandra Lebenthal, CEO of Lebenthal & Co, Stephanie Newby, CEO of Crimson Hexagon, and Laura Lifshitz, who was introduced as the Savvy Lady of the Year, were among a crowd including Alex Bolen, CEO of Oscar de la Renta, Guy Adami, one of the of “Fast Money Five”, and CNBC’s Kate Rogers, who was the emcee.
