Sean “Diddy” Combs received the key to the city of Miami Beach from Mayor Philip Levine, which he then shared with his mentor and close friend, Andre Harrell, thanking him for giving him his shot to succeed.
Combs was an ambitious intern at Harrell’s Uptown Records back in the day.
The ceremony took place at The Fontainebleau Miami Beach during the REVOLT Music Conference, which is to network, learn, and take advantage of the opportunities to be close to the industry’s biggest names.
Said Combs; “the REVOLT Music Conference is about music, creativity and entrepreneurialism, and that’s what Miami is.”
The Mayor also officially named October 15th as “REVOLT Music Conference Day” to celebrate the energy and opportunities that the conference continues to bring to the city.
