Keith Rubenstein and gallerist Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn hosted artist Lucien Smith’s Macabre Suite, a one-night only art installation and epic party in the South Bronx to celebrate the purchase and the revitalization of the historic South Bronx Piano District by Rubenstein’s Somerset Partners, a private New York based investment firm.
Partnering with Chetrit Group, the two companies bought approximately 5 acres along an industrial stretch of the Harlem River and together will bring a luxurious residential community full of amenities with market-rate apartments, ground-floor retail space, and a waterfront promenade.
Aiming to transform the South Bronx into an arts and culture destination, Rubenstein will use his relationships in the art, entertainment and hospitality industries to curate existing sites with galleries, bars, cafes and restaurants.
There was art, food trucks, and music including a finale by rapper Travis Scott.
The word on the street is the party was the bomb. Sounds like this is the kind of property that would get Jenny back on the block.
