The gals of Real Housewives of NYC Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley came out to toast race horse syndicate owner Sheila Rosenblum on her Resident Magazine cover at the opening of Pop Artist Burton Morris’ 100 years of Coca Cola Exhibition at SoHo Contemporary Art Gallery last week.
Morris surprised Rosenblum with a special painting of one of her star horses, La Verdad, who just ran second at the Breeders’ Cup, and has won over $1.6 million to date.
New York Racing Association President Christopher Kay, Douglas Elliman CEO Dottie Herman, Bettina Bennett, Janna Bullock and Bonnie Pfeifer Evans were among the 150 guests taking in the art and Resident’s holiday issue at the opening celebration catered by Elegant Affairs.
In just two years, Sheila Rosenblum has become a force in the male-dominated horse racing world. The Manhattan mother of two owns over 20 race horses stabled at Belmont Park, where she leads two all-female syndicates with top trainer Linda Rice. She also shares ownership of two horses with racing world doyenne and Bergdorf Goodman heiress Vivien Malloy, also a close friend and mentor. Now she’s gearing up to have La Verdad race at Aqueduct later this month in the G2 Fall Highweight Handicap.
