Kristen Stewart walked away with a best supporting actress award for her role in Clouds of Sils Maria at the respected New York Film Critics Circle Awards, kicking off this year’s season of accolades.
Chic in black with slicked back hair, the Twilight actress was presented the award along with a brilliant introduction from former co-star and friend, Julianne Moore.
Said Stewart; “It means a lot to receive this from you,” the 25-year old told the critics in the audience at TAO DOWNTOWN. “I’ve received a lot of MTV Popcorns Awards and stuff like that, but this is a little different.”
Stewart co-stars opposite Juliette Binoche and Chloe Grace Moretz in the highly-touted film about a veteran actress (Juliette Binoche) who comes face-to-face with an uncomfortable reflection of herself when she agrees to take part in a revival of the play that launched her career 20 years earlier.
