Sponsored by National Geographic, The University of Miami, Exploration Science and Wildlife Conservation Society, The New York WILD Film Festival is happening now through January 31, at the historic Explorers Club Headquarters in New York City.
The event, founded by Nancy Rosenthal, Executive Director, spotlights films in the exploration, adventure, wildlife and environmental genres.
This year, Academy Award-winning director Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) will receive an award for his documentary What’s Motivating Hayes, a documentary about biologist turned investigator Tyrone Hayes.
NY WILD will feature film screenings, audience Q & A’s, panel discussions, receptions and award presentations.
