Actress Parker Posey looking chic as can be, along with artist Jack Walls attended the premiere of HBO’s new documentary Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures at the Time Warner Center Tuesday night.
Debuting MONDAY, APRIL 4 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), HBO’s new doc takes a look at the provocative life and work of American artist and photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, who died at 42-years old in 1989 from of an Aids-related illness.
Directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbaro, who brought us “Party Monster”; “Inside Deep Throat”; HBO’s “Wishful Drinking” and “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”), we see his beginnings as a young artist in New York to his relationship with girlfriend Patti Smith. Interviews include Brooke Shields, Carolina Herrera, Fran Lebowitz, and Debbie Harry.
