Super talented Lupita Nyong’o not only just scored a Tony nomination for her role in Broadway’s Eclipsed, she also scored on the red carpet at the Met Gala. The highly coveted event’s theme this year was “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology.”
The fashionably fabulous actress was nominated for her leading role in the play which tells the story of five Liberian women and their tale of survival near the end of the Second Liberian Civil War.
Nyong’o has stiff competition in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category up against heavy hitters including Jessica Lange, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Laurie Metcalf, Misery, Lupita Nyong’o, Eclipsed, Sophie Okonedo, Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, and Michelle Williams, Blackbird.
