Kansas City’s favorite hometown celebs Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Eric Stonestreet, David Koechner and Rob Riggle just hosted the seventh annual Big Slick Celebrity weekend.
The two-day event – which raised more than $1.3MM for Children’s Mercy Hospital – was attended by 25 of their closest friends including Adam Scott, Judy Greer, Kevin Rahm, Olivia Wilde, James Marsden, Will Forte, James Van Der Beek, Hilarie Burton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Haley Joel Osment, Chris Daughtry, David Cook and Royals’ legend Bret Saberhagen, among others.
Heartland-bred, blue-blooded, hand-shaking, baby-kissing comedians Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet came home last weekend to campaign for kids in the biggest and most patriotic Big Slick Celebrity Weekend yet.
The Kansas and Missouri natives brought with them a gathering of funny celebrity friends, as well as one-of-a-kind items for public auction, all to help Big Slick’s charity beneficiary, the Cancer Center at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. This year was record-breaking with a fundraising total of $1.3MM.
Here were some of the goodies auctioned off:
A visit to the “Modern Family” set, courtesy of host Eric Stonestreet sold for $30K
Two packages for this fall’s premiere of “Westworld,” the HBO sci-fi remake starring James Marsden sold $60,000
Two lucky bidders paid $45,000 each — $90,000 total — for VIP treatment at the August premiere of host Paul Rudd’s next film, “Sausage Party”
