Bobby Van’s Steakhouse is one of the best steakhouse experiences in New York City and elsewhere.
I love the cozy East 54th St location, but the “original” on East 46th Street still exudes that classic club-style steakhouse with amazing customer service and traditional feel. Grab a seat at the handsome bar and have a signature Filet Mignon or Porterhouse Steak plus all the other goodies.
However, sometimes you want to just grill your own steak at home. Bobby Van’s. Chef Nile Medford shares tips on how to grill the perfect steak in your own backyard.
For best results, marinate steak in 1 tablespoon of Bobby Van’s Steakhouse Original Sauce per steak along with any desired spices. The versatile sauce will give the steak a sweet and tangy flavor offset by a horseradish spice. Let the steak rest in the fridge for an hour before grilling on medium heat (never high), frequently turning the meat to keep the cut from sticking.
Health conscious grillers can try Bobby Van’s Steakhouse Original Sauce on fresh seafood for a lighter dining option. Chef Nile Medford recommends using seafood that is high in Omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, black sea bass and sole, as the natural oils will keep the fish from both sticking to the grill or breaking apart. This original sauce can be used as a marinade, salad dressing, or dipping sauce, and is sure to be a must-have at every summer cook-out.
YUM.
