Legendary music executive Lyor Cohen introduced and presented honoree Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs with the Tony Duke Award at the Annual Boys & Girls Harbor Gala this week.
The rapper/entrepreneur who established his own charter school, Capital Prep, which recently struck a shared facilities partnership with Boys & Girls Harbor, looked to have had a moment with longtime friend and business associate Cohen, who he’s know for many years in the music industry.
Newly married Cohen attended with wife Xin Li and son Az.
The fundraiser raised 1.8M for the Boys & Girls Annual ‘Salute to Achievement’ event in support of the school’s education programs.
Along with the incredibly talented students of the Harbor, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Andra Day performed a heartfelt and inspiring rendition of “Rise-Up” – to an audience without a dry eye in the room.
Other guests included Valentina Van de Weghe, Blue & Vikki Williams, Captain John Duke and last year’s Honoree David Weinreb.
