The Prostate Cancer Foundation’s annual gala had some big names entertaining the crowd at Water Mill’s Parrish Art Museum last weekend.
Billy Idol (pictured), Diane Reeves and vocal group The Company Men entertained this year’s gala in support of The 12th Annual Charles Evans PCF Pro-Am Tennis Tournament. Also taking the stage with a special performance was Dr. Francis Collins, Director of National Institute of Heath.
One hundred percent of the funds raised throughout the evening went to supporting groundbreaking discoveries in cancer research.
The foundation’s founder Michael Milken talked about how far PCF has come since its founding, how much of difference the foundation’s work does, and its aim one day to make prostate cancer an illness to “find in the history books.”
The event’s Challenge Research Award raised over $3.5 million in support of the foundation’s work.
Guests supporting the cause included Patricia Duff and Richard Cohen (pictured), Lori Milken, Leon and Debra Black, Bonnie Pfeifer Evans, Jackie Rogers, Ken and Maria Fishel, David and Julia Koch, and Jonathan W. Simons (President & CEO, Prostate Cancer Foundation).
