Music man Richard Marx and wife of almost a year, TV Host/model Daisy Fuentes took part at Farm Sanctuary’s 30th Anniversary Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel over the weekend.
Co-chaired by Jon Stewart’s wife Tracey Stewart and Emily Deschanel, comedian and actor Kevin Nealon was host, Marx performed, and presenters included Jon Stewart, Moby, and Daisy Fuentes.
Honorees included Allene Lapides with the Gift of Life Award, Kat Von D with the Compassion in Action Award, Leona Lewis with the Friends, Not Food Award, and Crossroads Kitchen with the Inspiration Award.
Also enjoying the animal friendly night which featured a 100% plant-based dinner, and a farmer’s market-style gift station; Craig Ferguson, Jennifer Coolidge, Katie Cleary, Jeff Garlin, and Carol Leifer.
Celebrating 30 years of rescue, education and advocacy for farm animals, the largest population of abused animals on the planet, Farm Sanctuary, with a 26-acre Los Angeles-area shelter and sanctuaries in Orland, CA and Watkins Glen, NY, works to educate people nationwide about farm animal abuse and the adverse effects of factory farming on our health and environment.
Jon and Tracey Stewart will also be opening a location at their New Jersey farm in Spring 2017.
