Two showbiz heavyweights were in the house opening night at the 12th Edition of The Los Angeles Italia Film, Fashion and Art Festival on Sunday.
That’s, right Mel Gibson was honored with Director of the Year award for Hacksaw Ridge presented by good friend Sylvester Stallone.
After winning two Oscars 20-years ago for Braveheart (best director and best film), Gibson is up once again for Oscar for the highly touted film which tells the incredible true story of Desmond T. Doss, who saved the lives of 75 men during in the Okinawa battle during WWII as a pacifist.
The film itself starring Andrew Garfield is up for numerous awards as well.
