The American Ballet Theatre celebrated its annual Spring Season on Monday and not even the rain could keep away the star-studded crowd at the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center.
NY’s finest ballet lovers celebrated the gala, an anchor to the spring cultural and social seasons, with an evening featuring ABT’s world-renowned dancers in the New York premiere of Whipped Cream.
Choreographed by ABT Artist-in-Residence Alexei Ratmansky, Whipped Cream is set in Vienna, Austria to a lavish score by Richard Strauss, with exquisite costumes and sets designed by pop surrealist visionary Mark Ryden.
Gala-chairs Elizabeth Segerstrom, Emily and Len Blavatnik, Lisa and Dick Cashin, Pamela Ford, Elizabeth Segerstrom, Toni and Martin Sosnoff, Sutton Stracke and Nadja Swarovski navigated through the rain to attend the amazing evening, as well as Blake Lively, ABT Dancer Gabe Stone Shayer, Kristina Allegra, Anh Duong, and Hamish Bowles.
