Opening night for RIOULT Dance NY‘s 2017 season at The Joyce Theater in Chelsea was spectacular and sexy.
Actresses and all around fab women Susan Sarandon and Kathleen Turner were just a few of the guests reveling in the amazement.
French-American choreographer, Pascal Rioult, began with a revival of his 1995 work Te Deum, and finished with the music of Deep Purple ringing through the theater for the electrifying world premiere of Fire in the Sky.
Costumes were designed by Emmy-winning designer Patricia Field with David Dalrymple, who all gathered for an exciting after-party down the street at Il Bastardo.
RIOULT Dance NY’s Board Chair Hope Greenfield introduced each dancer in the company and Pascal thanked contributors and staff to many rounds of applause.
Others there included NYCB’s Ashley Bouder, Joanna Fisher, Maria Cristina Anzola and John Heimann, and Jonah Bokaer.
