The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Collaborating for a Cure Benefit Dinner & Auction on November 16, at Cipriani Wall Street.
The yearly event affectionately know as ‘The Waxman’, will be attended by more than 1,200 corporate executives, board members, and their guests, and honor the memory of William S. Gorin, former Chief Executive Officer of MFA Financial, Inc., and a longtime SWCRF supporter who passed away in August after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Hosted by Chris Wragge, co-anchor of CBS 2 News This Morning, as master of ceremonies and featuring a musical performance by folk rockers The Avett Brothers, the evening’s much-anticipated live and silent auctions will offer guests the opportunity to bid on an exciting selection of exclusive items.
In recent years, ‘The Waxman’ has raised millions of dollars to support the Foundation’s research efforts to produce a cure for cancer.
Great event to support if you can. GO.
